The committee has announced the theme for the 2027 British Cattle Breeding Conference: breeding resilient herds for a changing climate.
Running from 25 to 27 January 2027 in Telford, the programme will ask how breeders can select for animals that thrive as weather patterns, forage quality and disease pressures shift. Speakers from research institutes and working farms will share the science and the practice side by side, in the Club's usual plain-spoken style.
The conference keeps its familiar shape: an interactive workshop on the Monday, Beef Day on the Tuesday including the Sir John Hammond Award lecture, and Dairy Day on the Wednesday.
Bookings open in the autumn. Sign up to the newsletter on the home page to hear the moment they do.
