The Club is run by a volunteer committee elected from the membership, deliberately drawn from every corner of the industry: working dairy and beef farmers, pedigree breeders, vets, geneticists and researchers. The committee plans each year's conference, chooses the themes and speakers, and keeps the Club true to Sir John Hammond's founding idea of practical breeding informed by science.
Committee members give their time freely and are always pleased to hear from members with ideas for speakers, topics or events.
The committee for the current year is published here following the AGM, which takes place each January at the Telford conference.
