The Sir John Hammond Award, the Club's highest honour, recognises an outstanding contribution to the application of science in cattle breeding.

Named for the Club's founder, the pioneering Cambridge animal scientist Sir John Hammond, the award is presented each year at the conference in Telford, and the recipient delivers the award lecture on Beef Day.

Congratulations to this year's recipient, whose award lecture drew one of the largest audiences of the conference. A full write-up appears in the 2026 Digest, available to members in the Members Area.
