Summer farm walk in Derbyshire

The Club's summer farm walk takes members to Underhill Farm in the Derbyshire hills, home of a commercial suckler herd with a carefully planned breeding programme.

The afternoon walk will follow the herd through its breeding year: bull selection, heifer retention, calving pattern and the performance figures behind each decision. As always, the discussion in the yard afterwards, over tea, is likely to be as valuable as the walk itself.

The walk is free for members and open to non-members for a small charge on the day. Places are limited, so contact the Club Secretary to reserve yours.
